Weekend TV: ‘RuPaul’ finale, ‘BET Awards,’ ‘Silicon Valley’


RuPaul’s Drag Race

VH1, Friday, 8 ET/PT

The ninth period of TV’s most glittery show finds some conclusion, with four rulers (rather than the standard three) competing to wind up “America’s next drag genius.” By the finish of the night Peppermint, Sasha Velour, Shea Coulee or Trinity Taylor will be named the victor, and keeping in mind that it’s hazy who’s the most loved going in, we do know they’ll put on a significant show.

The BET Awards

Wager, Sunday, 8 ET/PT

Saturday Night Live’s Leslie Jones will convey her mark comedic style to the current year’s honors, her first time as host. Beyoncé drives the assignments with seven, trailed by Bruno Mars with five. The broadcast will highlight exhibitions from Mars, Future, Migos, Trey Songz and Tamar Braxton. Chance the Rapper, who brought home the best new craftsman prize at the current year’s Grammys, will be respected with a compassionate honor. The youthful star as of late gave $1 million to Chicago government funded schools.

Silicon Valley

HBO, Sunday, 10 ET/PT

The tech-themed sitcom is finishing off its fourth season and losing one of its most powerful habitations: T.J. Mill operator’s Erlich Bachman. It’s not clear how the fan-most loved character will leave the show, however Miller as of late revealed to USA TODAY that his character “does not bite the dust, but rather he goes to a superior place.” With Erlich, it is difficult to tell what that could mean.
